Most consumer devices today do not natively support Auracast, even if they have Bluetooth. For example: No iPhone, including the latest iPhone 17, has Auracast enabled yet—even though iPhone 14 and newer have compatible Bluetooth 5.3 chips. Most MacBooks and Windows laptops—except MacBook Pros from 2023 onward—do not ship with Bluetooth 5.2+, which is required for Auracast. Classic devices like old iPods, early iPhones, MP3 players, and even older stereo systems are entirely incompatible with Auracast out of the box. That's where our splitR™ portable transmitter & receiver changes everything. With plug-and-play functionality, splitR™ allows you to broadcast or receive Auracast audio from ANY device—even if it's 20 years old.

The splitR™ transmitter & receiver has a range of up to 90 feet (30 meters) in optimal conditions. The actual range may vary depending on obstacles and interference from other devices. The device provides up to 12 hours of continuous transmission or 16 hours of continuous reception use on a single charge. Battery life may vary based on usage patterns and connected devices. The device includes a USB-C charging port for convenient recharging.

Setting up splitR™ is simple: 1) Connect splitR™ to your speaker using the appropriate cable, 2) Download the connectR™ app, 3) Follow the in-app pairing instructions. The entire process takes less than 5 minutes.

We are currently testing the connectR™ app with select customers from our Kickstarter campaign! Essential+ includes 1 daily broadcast per location, Standard+ includes 5 daily broadcasts per location, and Premium+ offers unlimited daily broadcasts across all your locations.

Installation is included with Premium+ plans. For Essential+ and Standard+ plans, installation is available at additional cost with our professional setup services.
